Laptop only 2 days old and already virus???!!!

Got my daughter a laptop. Before i got a chance to install an antivirus, she must have clicked on something and now the internet explorer isnt even working!! Help!!

However if it's only 2 days old, backup any documents, music, videos, emails you may have already saved on there and then factory restore.604!0 -
did you install anti virus?
IE not working could be various things, reset ie to defaults, under tools, internet options, advanced
create factory restore discs, and do disk imaging backups in case it happens again!!

As you've returned it to factory settings, don't forget to update the installed programs as per my previous advice here
