Waiting for the FOS

I just wondered how long anyone had been waiting for the FOS, our Barclaycard (Morgan Stanley) has been with them for a year now, when I called them they informed me that I should hear back within a month, fingers crossed! Has anoyone else had any success, thanks

You do realise that, as a Bankrupt, you are not allowed to benefit personally from a PPI complaint? Any redress which FOS might induce the Bank to pay would go to the Official Receiver for re-distribution to your former creditors.

I think you have just given becca a bit of news she was not expecting. Although you are right. PPI redress is considered a pre-bankruptcy asset and the redress should be paid to the OR to distribute to the creditors.

Yes, she's been posting repeatedly of late about having a complaint with FOS for over a year. I just noticed an earlier post of hers about being made bankrupt in 2008. I don't think anyone could have told her what will happen to the redress should the Ombudsman uphold her concerns.

Not really repeatedly - only 3 or 4 posts! the Barclaycard is in my BF name, not mine, I was only asking!!! I thought people on here were meant to help eachother - not criticise!

My other remarks would surely have been just as helpful if you had been the one with the complaint at FOS rather than your boyfriend? You hadn't made this clear....

I did say it was our claim, I was only asking if anyone had heard from the FOS, a year ago lots of claims were being rejected and being sent to the FOS. My original post said that I had been in contact with them and that I should hear back within a month - I thought this was good and I know other people are in the same situation as my boyfriend. I have always found this site to be helpful, now it seems not

So, by mentioning your bankruptcy this forum is somehow not "helpful"?
Again, I ask, was post #2 not a direct reply to your query?

I know the FOS is saying 12-18 months, I called them because we had reached a year, they told me that it should be with an adjudicator within a month - is that not good news? I was asking for other people to share their success with the FOS
