Help with average utility costs....
Hello,
I was hoping some of you could help me, hoping to move out in a couple of years with two of my friends into a two bed house in Maldon, Essex and we're trying to work out what our budget would be, obviously the prices will change in the years but just need an average.
Would be really helpful if you could tell me what your average cost of council tax, electricity, Gas, Water/Sewage.
Thank you:)

We live just past Manningtree over the Essex/Suffolk border so our council tax payments may be different to what you will end up paying but we pay £124 ten times a year.
Our gas and electric for 2 people is £59pm with E.on (should go down when I'm back at work and not home all day).
Our water bill is £50pm with Anglian Water.
Our food bill is approx. £150pm (hoping to get that down with yellow sticker shopping!)

Yeah that helps a lot thank you

These costs are really variable. Our gas/electric is double what Fashionlover pays but our water is about half. Your biggest cost is likely to be rent/mortgage repayment.0

Quite - energy bills can easily vary by a factor of 5, for properties with similar appearances.
If one is solid stone wall, with no insulation (other than perhaps loft), and one has been fitted with good insulation on all six sides.0
