Single External Door Entry to Garage - Cost?

Hi guys,
We have a detached garage whose back is in our garden. Ideally we would like door access into the back of the garage from the garden as its a pain in the *** going out the front of the house and through the main garage door to store stuff. We dont use the garage for storing the car!
I always thought this might be a tad expensive, but would really like some ball park figures for cutting out the brickwork and putting in a new door? Has anyone does this? Is it this straight forward?
Any info, much appreciated. xx

not for a garage but did the same thing for a brick shed. (an old air raid shelter).
cut out the bricks with a hammer and chisel.
made a door frame. used an old bit of heavy duty steel for a lintel. (probably not really required).
got a second hand door to fit. made good the brickwork with cement/mortar.
took me 2 days in total, and was very cheap to do. mostly SH materials.Get some gorm.0 -
Thank you very much but I dont think i have the know-how to do it myself. I just wanted to have a ball park figure before I approached builders for a quote.0
