Did your friend give you any clues as to what she likes?

My DD is 3 this December, and these are some of the things we're getting:

Scooter (cheap if you look around)
    Halmet set for said scooter
    Loads of books
Orchard Toys board games (Have a search for these on Amazon - good prices and very highly rated)
Leapfrog Tag reading system - http://www.amazon.co.uk/LeapFrog-Tag-Reading-System-Pink/dp/B003JQT4Y0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350303237&sr=8-1
    Anything Disney Princess related!! lol
    Magnetic drawing board (megasketcher type!)

    Other things that might apply:

    Dressing up sets
Arts and crafts (pencils, paints, playdoh, etc)
    Tea sets
    Dolls house
    Baby dolls & accessories
Baking sets (depends if mum likes baking/cooking and would do this with her - or would you if she came to stay?)
    Pop up play tents
    Noahs ark
    Bath toys
    Drawing / Chalk Board easel
    Aqua Draw

Speaking personally, I'd stay well away from cuddly toys! Our DD has far too many of those as it is!! lol

I'm sure others will probably have some other idea,s but hope that's a good start??

Clare - yu're amazing! I have met her once before - she showed me her books and DVDs and also liked peppa pig - but this was nearly a year ago and I am sure her love of peppa has moved to something else!

Thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it!

You never know - my nearly 3 yr old loves Peppa pig too. It's the only time my mum gets and peace from her when she has her for the day! lol

I'd suggest making up a short list and asking your friend. My best friend had loads of great ideas for my DD but a lot of the things other people had already said they were getting her, or she already had it. So do ask!

Hi, I have just bought an orchard toys game, Where's my cupcake? For a 3 and 4 year old for their birthdays. My daughter is 2.5 and really enjoys simple games. Also hair accessories and cute bags are always good and not too expensive. Have fun shopping, I love shopping for girls!

Or break the mould and go for toy cars, trains, tool sets etc.

Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

My OH always buys her stuff like that as he loves his cars and she never plays with them - she definitely won't be a Tom boy ha ha.

Thanks for the advice I am going to look for the orchard games I think or maybe dressing up, and colouring - who doesn't like arts and crafts!!

Thanks for your help I really appreciate it. Everyone on here is so friendly! X

My grandaughter will be 4 in December. She is still into Peppa Pig, anything pink (e.g. stationery, pens, bracelets etc. etc.) it has to be pink.

She loves dressing up so any outfits you can find (especially princesses, fairies etc.). You can get these in M&S or TKMax.

She will sit for hours with these books. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Princesses-Sticker-Dressing-Usborne-Fashion/dp/0746077858/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350377238&sr=8-1 (there is a whole series of these).

    Hope this helps.
