IVA and weekly payment store
Hi please can anyone advice me ?
As i am in a IVA, would it be possible for me to get some christmas items from the weekly payment store 'brighthouse' ?, they did an acceptability check and i am , on their accordance, able to have an account with them, of cause i dont want to do this if my IVA wont allow as i dont want to get into trouble as i only have 18 months left on it x

Check your contract but obtaining additional credit while on a IVA is a serious breach.

Thank you for your reply, when i told the lady i was in an IVA i said its very likely that i wont be able to open an account with them, she said im sure it wont be a problem because they dont go on credit score , its something different (not sure what though). I did think to my self that it would still be classed as credit so i though i would ask on here first.
So thank you, i had better stear clear x0 -
Really don't bother, aside from the fact if you get the goods up front and are paying for them weekly this is classed as credit which is a bit of a no no in an IVA, aside from that you will pay way over the odds for the goods, much better to try and put some cash aside up front from your allowances to save for xmas, that's what we do and then it's all paid forAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

Bright house is extortionate keep away!! I've made my Christmas gifts, check out pinterest for ideas there are tons of sites with cheap gift ideas. I'm intrigued as to what you need though, can you not check out Freecycle if it's stuff or yourself?now debt free and determined to maintain good spending habits and build savings0

You have just 18 payments until financial freedom, don't blow it now. Credit should be the furthest thing from your mind. Revel in the excitement of being debt-free and have a blow-out with your own cash then.
