Thank you. He called up to change his address and got a couple of letters. After a few months he noticed he hadn't received anything. He asked her if she'd got any letters and she said no. He called up on a few occasions and the mortgage company couldn't find the information (as it was an old mortgage and they are now on new systems).
When he finally spoke to them she hadn't paid for 18 months... We were totally naive to think that she would stick to her side of the bargain.
Such an upsetting situation. Will try update tomorrow. Thanks for all the advice, I really do appreciate it x0 -
Formally complain to the lender, that is very poor they did not keep him informed when he had given them his new address. They may be able to come to an arrangement about the credit report or his share of the arrears.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

We called the loan & mortgage companies yesterday. Got final settlement figures. The loan company is less than we thought which is good. Mortgage is still in arrears, more now as another month hasn't been paid!!!
My fianc! contacted his solicitor with all of the information and told him that she has verbally (and in text) agreed that her debt is hers. Solicitor now says that if she gets a letter made up by her solicitor to advise this then this may work. Just depends if she has the decency to do this...
