Wolf Garten Multi change tools?

I have been looking at the Wolf Garten Multi Change range of tool, the ones where several tool heads can be clicked onto one handle as required. I am mainly interested in the rake, draw hoe, and cultivator, to connect to the 150cm aluminium handle.
Does anyone have any experience of this garden tool system and is it robust enough especially the way the heads connect to the handle for it to be used and maybe slightly abused as may be the case with fixed head tools?

I bought mine this year and I really like them as I have small beds and the smaller heads fits nicely between the rows. I did by the small hand tool fork and it bent very easily however the larger ones have all been fine.

What concerns me as a new allotment owner is that while these quick change tools would be great for transporting to my plot I remember many years ago when I had a vegetable plot I sometimes had to break the clay soil up by hitting it with my rake, would these tools be up to this?

I have the rake and it looks sturdy enough I have clay too. I only have the small hoe but again that looks study. Only had mine since late Spring so not used them that much yet. I have a code for 25% off online pm me and I will send it to you got it at a garden show.

It's hard to say. I bought the rake, and it seems very good indeed. I have used the rake to break up the clay rich soil, but it does not work well, mainly because the soil is compacted. I have seen no obvious damage. I have on occasion bent/destroyed tools, but this seems to be one of the better made ones.

  • I have the rake attachment. I've given it a bit of abuse on my clay soil and it is fine so far.

I have been using the wolf multichange tools for five years now since I had my allotment. I can carry them in the boot of the car without any trouble. I have a rake, hoe, cultivator, apple picker, mini hoe and other items. I use an extending alluminium handle which you just twist, extend and lock in place. Unfortunately they don't make them any more but it is worth looking around as they are still about. They are guaranteed for 10 years and I haven't had any trouble with mine. They are expensive but most of mine were given as birthday or Christmas presents. I thoroughly recomend them.
