Monday 15th October - What Small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Thanks for starting us off ziggy - hope you are feeling a little bit better?
Happy Monday gang, 7 weeks left for me and I really struggled to start this week. It is cold and I wanted to stay in my bed and forget about the world. But instead I got up, put on a pink dress and pasted on a smile!
Today I have/will:
- food from stores
- clicks and searches (another friend joined Sw@gbucks so hopefully she will be a fast earner!)
- write down spends
- LSD if not a NSD (though we do need teabags)
- checked banking
- do any surveys that come my way
- carry on learning about SEO
- resist the urge to count up my sealed pot
- send messages to friend in india using free app
- sort out a couple more christmas presents
- checked banking, budget looking good
- see if i can find any bits to ebay
- look for comps and freebies
- log calories
That is all for me today, have a great monday everyone!

Hi everyone! Already into the afternoon I can't believe it's gone so fast!
Hoping for a '5' for you, La e! How would will you earn yourself!? (Is that a cheeky question?) Sibles, you made it! I bet the pink dress looks awesome, hope the smile turns into one that isn't too difficult to keep up.
I'm aiming for a NSD now! It often depends on if one of my work colleagues passes me at the bus stop in the morning! If they do, free lift! If not it's £1.90 for the bus. I'm hoping at some point to get the brakes changed on my bike (I do NOT trust them right now). When that's done maybe I'll start cycling to work.
I've earned £3.50 on Green Metropolis this morning (Thought no one used that any more) and I have 48 items listed on ebay which is exciting!
- stores dinner
- brought lunch to work
- studying to do later
Not much at the moment... I might think of more later, I'm planning to make a sort of weekly chart to include daily jobs, studying, and food plan. Might help me stay motivated!
Hope everyone is having a good day!0 -
Like your style, Sibles - sometimes pasting on a smile is as good as a real one

Welcome to MSE sherylgray - lovely friendly thread this one.
Ollie - think the pot is about £66 - if I win on Weds; will be £88 if I win on Sat. Who knows. Another 21 folk could sneak up on me and win instead... Arghh, the excitement.0 -

Thanks gang, the smile has stuck and I feel very positive in my dress. I also got a bit of a bargain at lunctime, in the shape of a supersoft jumper half price at sainsburies, I'm feeling the cold so much more this winter (down side of losing weight) so I want to build up my jumper collection!
So not an LSD, but I don't begrudge the spend as it was definitely something I needed!Clicking, searching and surveying my way to a life of debt freedom!
