Value Chocolate

I'm not keen on the Tesco Value chocolate at all. I do like Sainsburys Basics chocolate though, nice and creamy. I haven't tried Aldi or Lidl chocolate, but I should imagine that they would be good too.

We don't like value, nor do the kids. They will eat Lidl's though. Although its not something I buy on my weekly shop so I've not tried any other "cheap" chocolate.0

Anyone thinking Cadbury's Dairy Milk or Galaxy is good chocolate needs new tastebuds, sorry. My grandfather worked for Lindt and I was reared on the stuff (explains my fillings). There's no comparison to Leonidas, Valrhona, Godiva, Prestat, Charbonnel et Walker, Lessiter's.. even Lidl chocolate is better than either of those eww.0

So, anyone who doesn't have the same taste as you in chocolate has a disability (malfunctioning taste buds!).My grandfather worked for Lindt and I was reared on the stuff (explains my fillings).
If your grand father had worked for Cadbury you would be saying the same thing about their chocolate. There's no comparison to Leonidas, Valrhona, Godiva, Prestat, Charbonnel et Walker, Lessiter's.. even Lidl chocolate is better than either of those eww.

I find lidls cheapest chocolate ok but very sweet.
Sainsbugs basics milk chocolate is nice, I prefer it to Cadburys.
Sainsbugs basics white chocolate is lovely, I think it's much better than expensive sickly milky bar.
One local Sainsbugs told me the white chocolate was delivered & put out daily in the mornings and some people bought it by the box load.
Hence the empty shelf when I got there in the evening.0 -
Tried that and the only thing that works is having to spend more then when in a sale.
Have willpower just not where chocolate is concerned

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and opinions are subjective. However as I've tasted chocolate from a huge number of chocolatiers, I'm basing my opinion, subjective though it is, on experience.
If I was forced to choose between Cadbury's Dairy Milk, Galaxy and Lidl chocolate I'd choose the Lidl, my personal preference as dark as poss. If it was a choice between Dairy Milk and Galaxy I wouldn't touch either.

I found switching to 90% cocoa which is at once more luxurious and more bitter, made me eat less chocolate and appreciate it more. At my worst as a teenager I would buy three boxes of Leonidas hand made Belgian chocolates in Boulogne. One for me, one for my mother and one to eat on the way home0
