Hi, a couple of reasons for posting this here really. Firstly in case you're interested in a Sky Wireless Connector (currently £9.99 posted by another op on the link below)

Connect your compatible Sky+ box to yourbroadband router and unlock On Demand with our Wireless Connector, now only £9.99.
Other reason was to ask if this is still a good idea if you already have Apple TV and broadband at home. I am really interested in "On Demand" and wondered if it's worth investing in one of these. I'm guessing I need it to use "On Demand"?

Thanks that's great. Definately seems like a good investment as I've not seen The Wire and if you can watch box sets it's a no brainer for me. I hope posting here also means others get a chance to buy one if they are interested. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. instructions in the box are not quite right , after setting up the netwrok connection you need to go to the "customise" menu and turn on broadbandEx forum ambassador

Sorry for what might be a daft question but does a Sky+ HD box work without having a contract? We have a Humax PVR Foxsat already but fancy some of the Sky progs.I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0
-
Does it work? Yes - you can view lots of channels, including HD ones, without a contract (or rather, a subscriber card).
You CANNOT record on it without paying at least £10 per month.
You WON'T of course get any of the premium channels like Sky 1, movies, sports etc.
If you've got the Foxsat, I reckon it'll have all the channels that a Sky box without a card will get.0 -
I bought this earlier, refused to pay Sky £60 for one last month so when it came on offer I snapped it up :j:j0

I've snapped one up too. Didn't know how much they were before but knew it was expensive, more than I was willing to pay. So £10 is perfect for me, definitely worth it.0

That's a great bargain. Mine cost around £69.00 when I bought it a year ago from SKY.0
