I palyed with the B&Q Kitchen planner tool - did not buy from them but it gave me ideas to help me choose layouts. B&Q is diy.com. I guess most kitchen places will have an online tool that can be used, find the one that is easiest for you to use.

In respect of the slightly strange sizes of IKEA cabinets, does this impact upon the choice of appliances and, therefore, do you have to buy appliances from IKEA so that they fit with their cabinets?
Thanks.
Peter
We had an Ikea kitchen fitted 2 years ago .
Our kitchen is an extension and huge. It cost us £3,000 compared to the equivalent at Magnet which came up to £16,000.
The sizes, choice and quality of units is superb.
We had our own appliances and they all fitted.( I didn't want an integral dishwasher as I find electrical items need changing/updating before units and didn't want to be restricted in choice as with all fitted kitchens not just Ikea.)0
