Wireless Headphones Circa £30.00

Considering asking my OH for wireless headphones for Christmas. I'd be using it alongside my laptop and my Android phone.

Has anyone had experience with these before? Looking for for specific advice e.g...

Can a pair of headphones worth having be bought for as little as £30 or would this be a waste of time?

I understand there are a number of technologies in play here such as bluetooth and infrared. Which is the most effective?

Any particular makes/models to look at or avoid?

Any other pertinent information that I might need to consider.

Many thanks!

I bought a set of BLUETOOTH headphones for use when walking the dog along my local beach each evening. The brand was "Bluedio", and I got 'em on EBay. Sound quality was great, and they allowed me to listen to music (in stereo) broadcast by my mobile phone, while keeping the (quite expensive) phone out of sight.I chose this particular brand partly on price (it was cheap!) and partly on features and quality. A pair of headphones came with the unit, (which featured a standard 3.5mm headphone jack) but if you wanted to replace them with a better pair, you could do so (I swapped them over for a pair of Sennheissers from Richer Sounds) The unit itself was about half the size of a matchbox, with a handy lapel clip on the back, and buttons that allowed one to remotely raise or lower the volume, advance to the next track (or retreat to the one before) AND make or answer phone calls. I subsequently discovered that the brand is still going strong a,d can be purchased through http://dx.com/p/bluedio-av890-stereo-a2dp-bluetooth-handsfree-headset-6-hour-usage-100-hour-standby-20427?item=24

To use the included charger, you'll need a shaver adaptor, which can be bought from Poundland (or equivalent) The Headset kit itself (assuming you pick the same model that I did) costs £13.60 including delivery.
