I remember always being a sucker for a freebie and used to linger around the freebie board but never ventured into the comping bit until I saw cadbury were giving away so much chocolate. Then I happened to win one of the top prizes so become addicted!
The scary thing is I cannot imagine my life without Comping and WOW Fire Fly you must have seen many changes over the years regarding the hobby.Ask.. Believe.. Receive..

Ive not been comping for long (only just over 5 months) so I can still remember. I used to be bored bored bored. I used to play games on my laptop and look at the odd parenting forum. Then one day there was a thread on a parenting forum asking if anybody ever won anything from these simple comps where you just had to give your details or the answer to a question was really easy. A few people mentioned how they were a comper or knew people who were and had won a few good things from their time in comping so I decided to give it a go.
Funny thing is on that thread someone said how they didn't class themselves as a comper as they didn't enter many (I think it was something like 50 a week) and someone said that they must be as that was loads of comps :rotfl: Little do they know
I couldn't imagine it now not comping. To me it is life and one of those things that have to be done, like washing the dishes or feeding the kids. Its in my daily to do list. Its much more than a hobby to me, its a way of life :rotfl:Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday

I used to spend hours researching our Family Tree and had gone back quite a few generations on both sides. It was beginning to get really difficult to get new information so I decided to give it a rest for a while and came across this site. Ironically I recently won a copy of Family Tree Maker 2012 edition so I'm all geared up ready for when the urge strikes again.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

I used to play games on the DS and do Sudokus. I also did surveys and studied up money saving ideas. Love my new hobby but think I probably spend too much time on here!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Before comping, I was young and did the usual things teenagers do, like going out with mates. Now I'm middle aged. I have been comping on and off for about 30 years, but sometimes with breaks of months, or even years when I haven't bothered. In those times, I have done puzzles, read more books, magazines, done jigsaw puzzles, sewing etc.0

I won my first comp at age 7 with Misty magazine by winning star letter of the week and after that I was hooked!
I do try to take a few month off every now and then, but always find I come back to it (just had a 7 months break whilst moving house and other stuff) but back to being a laptop slave again!£2021 in 2021... £253.86/£20210 -
I got into comping a few years ago at first it was postcard entrys from magazines and then i came here and never looked back, dont win as much these days as back then, but i cant give it up I'd o as far as saying I'm a comp addict. Its the thrill thats something might just turn up in the post other than a bill or junk mail. and I'll happily waste hours and hours for that. Nothing better than when the postman knocks with a parcel and you have no idea what it is
I must have had a life before compng I probably havent got one now but i dont care i love comping ha0 -
I used to cook meals from scratch, clean my home from top to bottom every week, complete the occasional survey and read the Boots thread. I think about giving up comping now and again when i hit a dry spell but my daughter won't let me! She loves the prizes i win as most of them are for her benefit.:)If you’re British in the living room, what are you in the bathroom? European!0
