in rental, landlord wants a valuation?

The other point is 'did your tenancy start after the 6th April 2007 and did you pay a deposit?'
Just checked, I moved in on Oct 2004 so 8 years, much longer than I thought
yes I paid a deposit.
No deposit scheme I'm aware of, are you saying that I would loose the deposit, if evicted? I guess I would.0 -
You paid a deposit and should get the whole deposit back.
I bet in 2004 the landlord did not do an inventory that you both signed with photos ?
Please do not panic yet many landlords need to get valuation survey done every couple of years to keep the Lender happy and make sure he has the property insured at the correct value.
He maybe using the equity in this property to buy another place0 -

no photos but the inventory was very detailed, even to the extent of including a small shell that was in the bathroom:eek: I'm not too worried on them saying the condition is bad if I leave as the property has had no money spent on it in over 13 years, apart from some new blinds, but I'm guessing the deposit will be kept for eviction charges, but as you and others say, I shouldn't worry about that until if and when it happens.
Oh and the property is fully paid for.0
