Advice needed please - car broken down 2 days before part-exchange

If you really can't get the car going again (if replacing the battery doesn't give enough time to get it to the garage) then just call the garage and explain the problem. They will probably be willing to collect the car and then deduct some money for repairs (which you should be able to negotiate at cost). They will want to keep you happy so that you complete the sale of the replacement car. This will basically mean that you will get less for your 'broken' trade-in but the sale can still go ahead.:hello:0

Pretty unlikely that any car built in recent times will not have done serious ecu damage if it was overcharging. But then again, it was an RAC patrol.
Get it up and running and assess it then. If its OK, trade in and keep your fingers crossed. If the dash is like Blackpool Illuminations, phone them and come clean.0 -

It would nice . For people to come back and you know , just tell us , what happened .0
