It has recently happened to me with Admiral on car insurance and I was really quite surprised. I am in the process of obtaining quotes & tried them as my other half is with Admiral. And the admiral quote for him is excellent, beating the others by a fair amount. So a good place to start.

35 months ago my other half was hit by someone and all found in his favour. Admiral know this & its fully disclosed in his information and quote. In pulling information for my quote together however this incident led to an increase in the premium quoted to me of close to £100. As said previously, all we can do is move our business elsewhere, and try not to get too miffed by it all. But for the first couple of minutes after putting the phone down, we were both fuming! Will check elsewhere for quotes & if financially it makes sense, we'll both be Admiral free early next year.

Wait until year two. Then you will change your mind.

I'm not entirely sure what your point was, (as I was starting with an insurer who had proved cheapest with my oh) but then I am prone to a blonde moment or two!

But not in respect of Admiral. The day after I posted I saved three figures plus by going elsewhere. Which admittedly wasn't difficult given the uncompetitive quote I got. Even though the deal my OH has is excellent for his vehicle, I doubt he'll stay as he was annoyed by the whole process - though I'll ensure we dont cut our nose off to spite our face!

Going a bit back on track to the OP, I dont think there is much you can do, unfortunately. Have you had any luck?
