Bad year here. Apple tree, blackberries and raspberries where good. Everything else a complete disaster. The really hot spring, then the really cold did for loads. I cannot abide parsnips or turnips so no joy from me about that. OH cannot really have any leafy greens at the mo due to meds so that's out of the question!Put the kettle on.0

Worst year ever here. No apples, no mirabelles, no cherries. Total disaster.0

Lost 99% of a poor crop of Tomatoes & Potatoes to blight when we were away for w/e (I'd not bought tinned Toms for over a year until last week!) Grrrr.
1 Cox's Apple, 2 Bramleys, 1 Cherry, no Pears, hardly any Plums, no Currants.
Best EVER crop of Strawberries & the Autumn (Scottish) Raspberries are prolific but the summer ones were awful.
Beans so-so (got a few in the Freezer), Courgettes OK, other Squash pathetic (no Pumpkins or Butternut at all), Curly Kale excellent, Sweetcorn excellent.
Dahlias good (& some of the summer flowers), Chrysanths all got rust so look straggly. :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0 -
I'm a novice but grew a few potatoes in growing bags which am quite proud of!

If certain vegetables go up in price will just have to buy those which are hopefully plentiful?
I need to get to the markets more rather than just buy from the supermarkets & when I move I will grow my own for sure x0
