From memory I think I used two coats of Bullseye and then coat of dulux. It is expensive I think I paid £44 for a large tin that was years ago but it does last. You can get smaller tins, many decorators swear by it

123 is water based. BIN is shellac based. Both dry within about 15 minutes.

God you will think I am a thicky but if I am painting over it in gloss is 123 still the best to use?
Also can I use it on a radiator?0
