    On the plus side, mycelia (the "root system" of the fungi) are a fundamental part of healthy soil and help distribute nutrients, so fungi are a sign of good soil health :)

    I'm sure an air rifle would sort them out. Be aware that the toxicity of fungi, and plants, is species specific. Thus some animals can eat Death Caps, but you can probably guess that you shouldn't. Conversely, dogs cannot digest chocolate, and it can kill them.
