Hi there
I am replacing the gravel in my driveway - looking at red granite and wondering what is the best size to use - 10mm or 20mm? Thanks!

Use what the trade call "self compacting gravel" ask for it at merchants. It is a mixture of smaller and larger irregular stone which will lock together and bed down to give a firm driveway. Using straight gravels you will end up with a Tank Trap as the aggregate will move around under the action of car wheels (or wheelie bins)You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! if you are going to loose gravel go for a big size - otherwise all the cats will end up using it as a loo.....0

Gravel is in effect a fluid.
As said for a drive a mix of fines and chunks works best, without the fine stuff the gravel justs "rides" on itself and moves around, downhill if poss.
Chippings with sharp sand washed in is my method. Big bits always work up to the top.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
