What I meant was that you need to devote your time, or a good part of your time, to the OU at the weekends in order to succeed with the OU.
Please note that I have studied for two complete degrees with the OU, over several years, so I do know what it's all about.0 -

Hardly, the tutor can only be contacted during the week and only does online tutorials during the week, he would prefer if you did not contact him during the weekend.
what course are you doing and how much contact do you need with your tutor? I only contact mine once or twice per module, if that. That usually consists of the odd email and the occasional phone call (usually begging for an extension for a TMA!)3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Ok then we'll leave the OU out of it, I can't do overtime because of the other halfs commitments, which pays better than mine0

in that case I would reiterate what I said in post 15. Might be worth you looking at how your WFTC would be affected if your wife gave up the extra job - it might not make much difference to your overall income.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

Haven't you read anything I've written? You only need to work 24 hours between you to get WTC - you'd be eligible if just one of you worked 24 hours and the other didn't work at all!
(Honestly, sometimes I wonder why we bother!)0 -

We would as most of her pay goes on fuel, but I thought something was changing in April 12 meaning we both had to work? No? She'd save us a fortune at home.0
