not asked them. The people on the phone there don't know their anus from their elbow and if you go into the branch you have to queue up for roughly 45 minutes and I didn't have time to do so today.

Metrobank claims to be different to the other High Street Banks.. which is true in that everyone that comes through the door gets the same basic banking account opened for them..
The staff are so happy and helpful it is creepy.
They say they started from stratch and could be leading edge... but instead they started from stratch and have not got there yet..
Ask for a statement date to be customised and the answer is no can do... Ask for a receipt and wait 20 minutes for it to print.... I was left waiting in a queue because the customer in front of me had gone to the toilet mid transaction!! The only good thing about Metrobank is that you can get your money out abroad at the best exchange rates and charge free. But if everyone just uses it for that purpose it will finish it off for everyone I guess like it did for Nationwide.

Um... so that's why you want to open an account with them, right?

Sounds like a great bank, wish they would open more branches.

Can't think of anything more exciting than waiting in a queue for 45mins in a bank.

    Why would you want to?
Does it even allow Direct Debits?
