Internet - How can I connect my computers?

So, I'm trying to sort the internet.
BT need to fix our phoneline, so we have no wired access at the moment. They have given us access to their wireless BT openzone network, which works okay.
But, I have a few devices that aren't wireless capable. I usually connect them using a Netgear router, but I'm guessing this is useless?
I've looked at mobile internet things but most of them seem to just provide wireless anyway.
What can I do to get internet on non-wireless devices? I really can't work it out

BT Openzone is a wireless service, so only wireless capable devices can use it.
Until BT sort your phone line, you won't be able to use any device that relies on a cable. How do I add a signature?0 -
If you have no internet via the phone line then you will be piggybacking on your neighbours' BT wireless, which is apparently a 'feature' for BT internet customers.
To access that with devices that aren't wireless capable you need either a USB wireless dongle (not an mobile internet dongle) or an access point client. The latter would connect to a device with a short ethernet cable.
Do you have a smartphone to see if you can pick up a neighbouring Openzone signal in your house? If not there's nothing you can do I'm afraid.

If you're wanting to connect cabled computers running Vista or Windows 7, through one which has wireless, you can use Internet Connection Sharing:

Haven't tried it with non-windows devices, but it might work so long as the host is running Windows!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Good point. Actually did that successfully in a holiday cottage for a non-wifi Xbox via an XP netbook.604!0
