  • if some of this makes no sense im sorry im all of a panic. I could loss my job 8 weeks before crimbo with a family to feed

So could the person you choose to take the rap for you.

Personally my own morals wouldn't allow me to blame someone else for my actions.
If he admits to one they never knew he did it could be seen as a great show of honesty on his part and put him in a better situation
Why would it? You already seem to think it won't for you so why would it for them?
  • warning fine.... final warning fine.

i just want to keep my job.

but to be fair its me who wont want to work with them if I get my job back. I have done so much for all 4 of the other people implicated. 2 i got them the job and have solved so many problems for them.
1 I saved his job twice.
lost count how many times I have put my neck on the line for them
and during my meeting I stuck up for them and put in a good word.
THEY SOLD ME DOWN THE RIVER :(

I am hurt by what they have done and I will know in never to help any one again.

How have they sold you down the river when you said earlier that you did indeed do 'it'?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
  • what they did wrong was by there own admision. off there own backs with no help from me.

telling the boss it was me who told them to do it was not true, and in my opinion not needed

If you do decide to come clean then take responsibility, none of this stuff about how your colleagues sold you down the river. You committed the offence and you're prepared to sell someone else down the river by convincing them to take the rap for you. You are not an innocent victim. You are not in trouble for helping someone else, you are in trouble for committing gross misconduct. Even if you don't own up to your employer, be honest with yourself to avoid such situations in the future.

no one here can answer that for you, you have all the details and even you are unsure of what to do.

It does rather depend on what 'it' is, of course. Some things are more likely to end up with a warning, others more likely to be out the door. Others more likely for the police to be called.... it really depends where on the scale this is....

I denied all knowlage while other confirmed that they did it and thought it was ok to do it.

I think I maybe able to convince someone to take the wrap for me as far as the original offence is concerned. But then is the fact I lied about not knowing anything of this allegation let alone doing it.

Whaaaaaaaat??? If this is true it sounds like you deserve everything you get.

Trying to establish the truth here for starters:
I have been suspended on full pay for alligations that I and others in work commited a offence that has been classed as gross misconduct.

I denied all knowlage while other confirmed that they did it and thought it was ok to do it.
So the allegations are true, you did commit this offence, but you denied knowing that such a thing ever went on? Or you denied doing it this time?
But some have named me as knowing about the offence and have spoken to them about it in the past. One also named me as the person who shown him how to commit this offence (not true)
Is the first part true, even if the second isn't?
so Im lost.... I think I maybe able to convince someone to take the wrap for me as far as the original offence is concerned. But then is the fact I lied about not knowing anything of this allegation let alone doing it.
Lied about knowing that whatever it is ever went on? Or lied about knowing it happened on this occasion?
So do I go in there and admit everything.... from start to finish and ask to be shown mercy.

or do I get this person to take the wrap for the offence and admit I lied about not knowning anything about the offence.

or continue to deny everything still??
Personally, I think the absolute worst thing you could do is try to get someone else to take the blame for whatever it is you have done. You might get away with it, but it only takes one person to let slip that you did this, and it really would be gross misconduct.

In general, honesty is the best policy, especially where other people are involved in any dishonesty. It's so much easier for everyone to remember the truth.

BTW, are you in a union? I'm guessing not, but that would be your best defence.
