Looking to fit a shower! Advice Needed

So I am looking to fit a shower but I am not sure as to which to buy based on my water system, I have a combi Boiler and I also have good water pressure.
I have had a quote so far for just the plumbing (£50 not including materials) and on Monday I will get a price for the electrics (need another RCD as there is no room left in the box) I am not sure how to go about adding more to the box but the electrician will.
I have a feeling this is going to be very costly and I am tempted in doing the plumbing myself to save costs, then there is a electric work, tiling, shower unit itself (cheapest of all I believe)
What do you think?

if you have good water pressure & a combi why are you going for an electric shower ? you can fit a normal thermostatic shower fed off of the existing hot & cold supplies & save the cost of the electrical work plus it will give you a much better shower performance, yes i know if your combi breaks down you will still have the shower as a back up if it's electric but i still think you are spending money in the wrong directionI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
If you are going for an electric shower then the boiler type is not relevant, as it's fed off the rising main. You just need suffficient flow and pressure to feed the rating of shower you choose. No free lunch, and no free laptop
