LCS Utility Investigation

Hi,

I switched my gas supply from British Gas to Npower on the 5th October. I am awaiting a final bill from BG but have received a letter from LCS stating that they are conducting an investigation into the utility supply at my house.

They have asked for a number of details including the previous occupant and the landlords name and address (this is a rented property).

What should I do with this letter? I have spoken with my letting agent who has said that if I forward the letter to him he will deal with this, but I don't want to hand it to him and then find out that I will have to pay money for gas that I did not use.

When we moved into the house, there were a number of envelopes from British Gas and EDF Energy addressed to the previous occupant with unpaid bills.

Thanks in advance.

I think you should forward the letter to your letting agent and allow him to deal with this

If you don't owe the money, what makes you think you'll have to pay?
