Card companies do not apply S75 to positive balances. That's how they currently work it, that's how my claim is backed up. Even your link confirms it. I'm stating reality, not what you might think should happen based upon your own/OFT ideals or beliefs. The OFT know that's how they work it and they haven't tried to stop it because there is no ruling/law/decree within S75 they can use to stop it.
That doesn't mean the card companies are not applying the law. If the law specifically states it applies to positive balance then the card companies will have to adhere, but it doesn't state any such thing.
Therefore based upon realities the OP would not be covered.
Now I've heard enough of your nonsense so I'll leave it there. Go back to preaching to all n sundry on here that DD's are evil and should never be used.0 -
Yep, two posters here have said that s75 protection doesn't apply because CCs might dispute it. Guess that proves it!0
