Which cc is MOST likely to accept me?

Hello,
I've read somewhere on here that Capital One accepts anyone with a pulse, I've had a pre-selected letter through and don't know if I should bite the bullet and apply.
The only thing I've applied for in the past few years is a mobile phone contract as I have defaults on my file which should slip off the radar at the end of the year (after 6 looooong years!) but i need to rebuild my score so I get more more chance of being accpeted for a mortgage.
i called santander to see if i was pre-approved for any credit cards as I bank with them, but they said no. i doubt i'd be accepted for a "normal" cc, but i've heard of people being turned down for vanquis and aqua. what's my safest option? i don't care about the apr, as i'd pay it off in full each month.

Whatever card anyone suggests is pointless. Just apply for ANY starter or secured card.

Look at those. Have a look at the specific terms for each card, some are OK for defaults, etc., others might be a bit more picky. Some are OK for non-electoral roll applicants, others aren't. There's bound to be something for you there
