Sorry don't mean to keep bumping this thread but I'm wondering if you untick the contact boxes or agree to receiving information from The Times etc?
I'm asking this as I don't mind receiving emails but don't want to be harrassed by telephone calls.
I once made the mistake of allowing contact and it took forever to get them to stop calling me!
Just wondering if it may affect my chances.

p.s. missed the entire iPhone comp :mad:0 -
Hello
I have entered a couple of times today and have received no confirmation emails at all (hotmail account-not in my junk/spam folder either). Will the entry still be valid? Thanks
Happy Sunday everyone :beer:0 -
Hi Littleladybird, I think you should be fine if you untick that box. It's just an option if you want to be be notified by The Sunday Times products and services. With regard to the phone calling issue, I don't think they will call you unless there is a valid reason to call you, god knows what that would be. Very true with the whole iPhone 5 comp, thank god SueMaggie posted it on here, she's a very sweet lady
I'm sorry to hear you missed it, hopefully it will come again soon

Hi CompingJasper, I honestly can not comment, but all I can say is just enter them, that should be fine. If you recieve a WEM or a call on Monday that you have won it will give you a clear indication if your won or not. But all the best and good luck. I personally have the same problem, I just hope and wish
I hope this helps you.

Just to re-iterate, as I've seen a few more people asking since my last post: If you're using Mac Mail, or something like Outlook with Gmail, for some reason not all of the spam gets rerouted to your mail client, even in the spam or junk folder. Try logging into Gmail itself on the web and check your spam thereMSE wins: 2009 Altec Lansing iPhone speaker dock, 2012 Ribena 'Hunter' wellies , Local (non MSE) Tesco comp, Kindle Touch!0

The times like to try and sell you subscriptions...
I'm fairly certain that I have never ticked the contact me box but every 2 months or so they will call me every day for a week trying to sell me a subscription. It's always from the same number though (not withheld) so I just added the number to my contacts and divert any calls from that number straight to my voicemail
The fact that you are not ticking the box should have no effect on your chances though.2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -
Thanks for your replies.
I received calls from them constantly trying to sell me a subscription and it really put me off!
Good luck all - fingers well and truly crossed here0 -
Just submitted and it's coming up with you've already submitted this hour, how frustrating!0
