Sat/Sun 13th/14th October - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
On today's list there are some things I didn't finish doing yesterday. I was just too tired and I think resting on the couch is a very MSE thing to do. LOL.
Enjoyed the sight of the birds on the feeder this morning; my OH spotted a long-tailed tit yesterday.
:starmod: One Poll. In 28 days I should be able to claim my £40.
:starmod: Daily click on Kelkoo through Quidco to earn 1p for a search. Done.
:starmod: Think of something fun and free to do on my day off. Watching an Opera on DVD which I got free from Lovefilm as an employee perk. Munching a bit bag of cheap crisps and drinking fruit tea.
:starmod: Find out how my my credit card wants next month. Done.
:starmod: Book Theatre Tickets as cheaply as possible. Done. Spent Theatre Tokens given by employer as a reward. Unfortunately I scratched off one token too hard and wrecked the code underneath so I'd have to apply for a replacement. Reuse scavenged envelope. Print postgage myself from https://www.royalmail.com/discounts-payment/online-postage/home to save having to visit Post Office. NB. If you want to try this service you have to load the account with a couple of quid upfront and you need a printer to print the stamp. It's a shame that it's illegal to buy stamps from sellers on eBay at a discount.
:starmod: Lunch was foraged shaggy inkcap mushrooms. Done.
:starmod: Tidied medicine cabinet to find lost items. Done.
:starmod: Free online books anyone? http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/free
:starmod: Try to finish my Christmas shopping today. My OH and I aren't gonna buy much for each other this year and we've just decided to shop now and get it done before the rush. Done.:xmastree:
:starmod: List things on eBay to pay for Christmas gifts. Listed. Hope they sell quickly.
Have a good day; make the most of the luxuries we do have.

Evening all,
La e - In reply to yesterday, that's what I do with my DH & after a few charges from his bank for going over his overdraft (& at £8 a hit I was not impressed!) he seems to have got the hint & it works much better imo. Fortunately I am also the only one with online access to the joint account!
Thanks for starting us Ally, well done for finishing your xmas shopping, we're just planning what to buy people so we don't go over budget & taking into consideration what we bought in the sales already.
I've been fairly productive today after a very slow start! It took me one & a half hours to get out of bed this morning, I was so snug!
Today I have/will:-- Food from stores
- Dinner was going to be from meal plan but having to adapt - DH going out for his mates birthday meal, unfortunately (or fortunately if you look at it from an MSE perspective!) I can't go as I will be late for work if I do, so I'm just going to whip up a macaroni cheese or something for myself.
- Log calories using free app
- Charged phone via pc
- Check online banking
- Surveys
- Decluttered a bit & lots of flylady
- Heating off
- Go to second job tonight
- DH did overtime today
- Daily clicks etc on Sw@gbucks
- Washing put on eco setting & used less than the recommended dose of washing liquid
- Hung up to dry

Hello all. A late posting from me as I stayed at DD's last night. I looked after DGD after school and then had a Grandma Day today as DD was at work. It made sense to stay overnight rather than driving home and back again at silly o'clock this morning.
My list for today then:- stayed at DD's overnight saving diesel
- breakfast and lunch from her stores
- took DGD to party on the way home from kick-boxing so one lot of diesel and free food for her
- was given new snuggly cardigan by DD
- dropped in to see two neighbours to see if they want to share a stall at the Christmas fair
- was given glasses and cups to turn into candles for above fair
- stitch this evening
- encourage DH to design me some labels to put on my wares
- persuade DH to transfer some money into my account as I'm seriously O/D and it's only 13th of the month
- dinner from stores
- quick shower tomorrow morning instead of luxuriating bath
- drive to DS2's house tomorrow and get fed a roast dinner
- possibly foraging near DS2's house if the weather holds out
- have an NSD
