Old Style Daily Thread Saturday 13th October 2012

OS Daily - Saturday 13th October 2012.
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 13th October. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Good Morning.
Just back from running DD and DS2 to their jobs at the C0-0p. DS1 having a well deserved weekend off.

We are off to Charlecote Park Farm shop to buy some wondrous pumpkins and gourds. It has become a tradition each year as the autumn trees are amazing.

Hester - many thanks - it was like Christmas yesterday xx
Lou - thinking of you x

Love for a good day x

Not much OS today. It's H's last weekend before he heads off Tomorrow night for the week :( so were going to have a family day today (since tomorrow will be spent packing for the week, swimming lessons etc).
Not sure where we are going yet but will make a packed lunch at any rate.

In other news Lou finally gave birth at 1am this morning. A little boy weighing 9lb 3oz :T:T:T Mummy and baby are doing well :D

Hugs and spoons all round xxx

Molly I love Charlecote Park :)

Lou - huge congrats to you x
Bitsy - enjoy family day x

Typically I was wide awake at 7am on a Saturday. But did sleep well.

Today I'm off for lunch with uni girls to celebrate graduating as we all barely saw each other at graduation itself. We are going to a posh restaurant for lunch, but they do 2 courses for £10 at lunch :) then going out for a few drinks after. I've managed to snag a lift there, but may have to get the bus home, which will be an experience! I should be home in time for Strictly :D

OS wise - laundry to put away, quick tidy round.

    Have a good day all

  • animated-smileys-babies-054.gifCongratulations Lou, he is definitely a bonnie weight x

DH has just gone to work and DS is still in bed, DD went to her BF's last night after we had a massive row and she was told a few home truths, it has been brewing for months, but last night I just flipped. Then DH poked his oar in and we had a massive row as well, I ended up going to bed early.
Madam is supposed to be home tonight I hope that her attitude has changed by then.

Washing is in the machine, but the weather looks a bit dodgy so it looks like airers today.

Dinner is Egg, bacon, beans and mushrooms.

    BFN x

    Morning all,

Well done Lou :T:T just seen a photo on fb he is beautiful,, and I guessed right on the weight etc :D

Raining here again, got a load of washing to hang out, another in the machine and a third to go in, will struggle to get it dry :(

Need to drop dd at work today, then home for a tidy, then OH and I are off to a table top sale, its about 20 mins from us, but a lovely ride through the country side, we will then take the dog out, if its not raining too badly.

Dinner tonight will be the dinner my mum made us yesterday, we had a very naughty fish and chips last night, but it was very nice :D

BB how is maud getting on ??

    Have good days all xx

Morning..... I just love reading the daily thread as it proves to me that life still does really go on :j Having been battling with my dragons for a couple of months but they seem to have flown off!

Sun is shining and my home looks more like a laundry!

Will be spending most of today writing my final essay on my current OU module. Definitely a very OS subject - how women earn less over their lifecourse etc!!! In between I will be laundry wrangling.

Dinner tonight? Not feeling any inspiration yet.

    Have a great day :j
