difficult choice, i used Tiscali and have no problems although on their forums there's a lot of people complaining.
On the plus side Tiscali have been sorting out their pipes and a lot of people are getting the speeds they weren't so there's not as many complaining.
As far as i'm aware there's still cheaper than Tiscali kicking about but i'm happy with them0 -
I have been with Tiscali 5 months and i had a short period ( 2 days) when there were problems with connection. It was resolved quickly through their forums and email. Reading the forums you wouldn't be encouraged and I started getting worried when i read them! -There have been no other problems.Overall i am very pleased0

My advice is tiscali, don't touch aol:j :j0

Used Tiscali by default after they bought world online a few years ago. Fairly reliable connection - not good on customer service though & they have a nasty habit of raising their prices regularly. :-[0

if you're using Tiscali broadband their pricing habit is dropping them without telling anybody0

have you thought about wanadoo!, one of he cheaper options and I believe was reco by this site. 10 speed connection at 576kbs 99.9% of the time.
I just changed ... its magic0 -
I to use Tiscali by default after they bought world online a few years ago. never had a connection problem - even when i was not on broadband.
not good on customer service though But the did give me a £2 price drop recently without asking, but i think i am paying over the odds now but i for one am reluctant to move.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0 -
I used to use Tiscali prior to broadband bit could never get them to take the money out of my account. I suppose I should have been happy with that but it was a worry when it built up to over £100. Now use Metronet for 512 broadband and the avaerge monthly bill is about £17.00. Service good, speed good, money taken on time=no worries.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I'm with Tiscali. I had big problems to start with when I tried to use my own modem and a wireless router. In the end I had to sell the modem and router on ebay at a loss and use the Tiscali supplied USB modem otherwise no broadband. Their customer support is *very* bad - i.e. difficult to get hold of and when you do they're not helpful and hard to understand (being a call centre in India).
You're also contractually bound to them for the first 12 months and so if you don't like them, it's tough, you're stuck with them. In addition, if you do ever try to leave them to switch to another ISP you'll likely be without broadband for several weeks because Tiscali use a different kind of Broadband to everyone else (DataStream rather than IPStream or vice versa, or something like that).
Hope that helps.0
