    How can you have driven rental cars before when you only just passed your test?

    I think if you were to have an accident you may well find you were not actually covered.

    I think if you were to have an accident you may well find you were not actually covered.
    She passed her test in March and she states that she was driving a rental hired by her employer.

    That's true. 2 previous employers have put me on car insurance for jobs, 2 different car hire companies, Enterprise and Hertz. I guess business cover is different to personal cover in relation to eligibility.

    Then why would they let me on the insurance then? Besides if I did have an accident my production manager would sort everything out, they'd just pay the excess (if it was my fault). Also Enterprise have a deal with the TV industry, including special rates and renter requirements.
