its mums left to but she is right handed never thought about silly things like lids, washing hair etc at least she only has the parrot to look after and not the pony still one less problem to worry about..

I've broken my wrist and its a nightmare - putting tights on, hanging washing out on the line, make up, washing your hair, doing the washing up, even going to the loo with one hand ...

the cups thing is what I grew up with in America. Everything is measured in volume, not weight - and I can't seem to change :)

Well thats good thats its not her dominant hand:TIt is the really daft things down to putting toothpaste on your toothbrush:(It depends what the break is like but in the beginning Nannylala couldnt even hold anything in her bad arm/wrist. If she tells them she lives alone would she be entitled to some help?

She is having a scan at the moment she has 3 brakes so i imagine it is quite bad, not sure if she is entitled to any help not even sure where to start i will talk to the hospital and take it from there..

When Nannylala was in hospital when they came to discharging her a lady came to ask if she needed a carer or help at home as she lived alone:)She said no because I only live 2 minutes away but she definately could have had help if she wanted, so fingers crossed for you:)
