I am not getting on with my to do list today .....

You may be aware but this has answered questions for me (thanks to xmas thread again and Always After a bargain).

Last year we painted all the upstairs bedrooms, landing, hallway downstairs toilet. Then OH hurt his back and off work for 5 months. We then needed to rejig furniture in kids bedrooms and found on moving the furniture all the paintwork behind had gone yellow and discoloured. Also changed where not covered - we were going to replace doors so didn't bother painting them but with his back we didn't do it - these doors are whiter than the recently painted door frames! OH said thought it was due to EU regs and changes re paint make up but I felt shoud still be fit for purpose. (I also wondered re prep as he likes to skip this and I don't). Anyhow after losing job and cancer diagnosis its been at the back of my list and I am sure we don't have receipts still but will try customer services. So for anyone else puzzled but not got around to doing anything about it - apparently it has been covered recently by watchdog.....! HTH

"Yes your indeed right it was do to with new regulations etc and them alteringthe solvent level. Hubby had decorated the house before he went away on tour ,it was done last year before Christmas. Slowly it started to go yellow, Iblamed him telling him it was because he never sanded, used primer etc, it wasawful, even lifting ornaments off the the windowsills, would leave a yellowmark to show where it had been. We discovered after research and the presscoverage it was because of them altering the Solvent level. Hubby went backinto the store with our tins which was still in our shed, with pictures on hisphone of our paintwork. They gave us vouchers there and then, I know that somepeople have phoned customer services and had it through just giving barcodes ofthe tins over the phone, as many would not even begin to imagine that would of happened.Looking online that painting and decorating businesses have lost thousands inmoney and are currently taking them to court. We could of pushed to have labourcosts but as hubby done it we just wanted the paint refund. We went with awater based gloss this time, harder to apply but stays white for years.

Good luck if you need anymore info give me a shout, just google it online itwill bring all the press coverage about it up x "

:( I'm so gutted for you - this is honestly one of my fears of the future - with my Lo starting school - bullys are everywhere and apart of growing up i guess, but kids can be so cruel and its hard when your child is bearing the brunt of it ! you are right to talk to the school, but imo you should also teach him to stand up for himself - if a bully thinks they can get away with it they will continue - I do not like violence but don't let him be run over ! Best wishes to the wee pet !:(

Waiting on the head of year ringing me to. Arrange a meeting.
We've been through this almost every year in one way or another and it usually gets to the point where he loses it and hurts someone.
Thankfully I now know the signs so can step in long before this happens and warn the school but a few times the teacher has thought I was exaggerating and it has ended up with him hurting someone.
2 years ago a boy was singling him out as someone no one was to play with. It got to the stage that DS stayed by himself or with younger kids. One day DS was hiding behind a tree and the boy came up behind him with a branch and hit him with it, DS grabbed it and threw it away but the boy pushed him down and stood on his chest while wearing football boots. DS panicked trying to get him off and grabbed the only thing he could, which was the boys tie, almost strangling him, it took 2 adults to get him to realise they weren't other kids trying to hurt him
I got a call from the school to pick him up, DS told me what had happened but because the supervisors only saw what he'd done they didn't realise he'd been hurt. Had to take him to A&E because his chest was black and blue! His class teacher was annoyed that no one had listened to what DS had tried to tell them.

I don't want it to get that far again :(

    Sorry for long post.

Morning all. Haven't popped in for a few days, but was passing by and had to chip in my two-pennorth on the Morrisons CC issue.

There is no way on God's earth that Morrisons either know or really care whether you've already cashed in your Tesco vouchers with T or not. Their offer is simply to tempt you into their stores, and will be paid for out of their advertising budget - they will not be getting recompensed by Mr T for them. (Indeed, if you think about it, they'll not be sorry if Mr T has had to cough up for them, it will have cost their competitor which can only be a good thing from Morrisons point of view). Nor will it cost Mr T any more than he was already banking on. It's a genuine double dip opportunity so I can't see anything wrong with it. As for the peeps who said don't they take them off you on the till, I am truly saddened to think that members of this thread would spend them instore given the far better benefits to be had by spending them on Rewards. Order your Rewards online, then fill your boots.

Hug to MMW and anyone else having a rough week. x

What a strange thing to say

I doubled up mine and bought cat food instore. Much better for me ( and the cats) than going to a restaurant or theme park

Possibly a little rude? Rewards cover far more than restaurants and theme parks, though there's nothing wrong with either. I'm also a bit concerned if you're eating cat food. :p:D
    Hope is not a strategy.
