    morning:hello:
trying to catch up from yesterday but it's not happening :o
Well done to aau1 for your run in Edinburgh, im very impressed. Hope your legs have recovered.

Re: the comments on xmas cakes.. I have made my own for the past 3 years and it is so simple, just a bit time consuming. I'd recommend it to anyone. I soak all my fruit in brandy & rum for between 3 and 6 weeks (stir it every other day for the first two weeks). "Here's one i made earlier". :rotfl:

Then the cakes are made the first week in Nov. Booze is then brushed on every week until they are marzipanned/iced in early Dec. Finished version pic in a min..
This is the recipe i use::

How do you get the icing looking so smooth and perfect? I have tried countless times and it always looks so messy xxx

I found Dave in the utility room this morning snuggled under the laundry in the basket :D
Lovely pic. I have always said that if i ever get a dog, his name will be Dave :D I have a toy stuffed sharpei called Dave until a real one comes along (and he sits on the back of the sofa). Yes, I'm 34 years of age with a toy dog.:rotfl:

    Hello again,

Just a thought, has anyone use the £5 off £40 spend by buying a toy for £20 and the rest in food shopping for example?

I did the last time no probs - and this time i've got 2 so will split the shop up,

    hopefully womble 2 A's £5wys £40 too - only managed 1 womble so far in a week :o Very clean carpark !

And then as in NI use one of each in 2 shops with usuall groceries - giving me £10 off each toy ! As you are overseas maybe u cud try and use some coupons that will reduce you total spend but bring you up to the £40 and give you a nice discount of the toys ? hth
