This has been the done thing for a long time, I worked in a supermarket about 20 years ago and even then all split bags, bashed tins etc went in the compactor, our local co op has even taken to locking their bins to stop people removing disposed of goods- they say it is to stop them being sued if someone suffer from eating an ood or damaged item!!!, I agree it is wrong but they (the supermarkets) have an answer for every argument:o
my mum used to work for m&s they used to dye all food blue that was waste and going in bin out back but you could still eat it
a friend of myn got stuck in a food bin once :rotfl::rotfl: and had to be rescued by fire brigade how:o

Good grief, disgusting - has anyone else been told this as well?
If I was told this I would be kicking up a stink - starting with a letter to our local paper as we have a food bank starting up, then a letter to our local MP telling him about the food bank and what I'd been told by tosco HQ and then a letter to tosco HQ to ask if this was really the case, also about food banks etccouponqueen123 wrote: »im wating for my reply and if its true i shall be ringing papers as this is truly disgusting :mad:they shuld hang there heads in shame also they go on about how GREEN THEY are making store but its obustly they are not .i think a campain need to be started
Its true that a lot of stores do this, but also a lot of them donate non-food to charity shops(Well they do around here) You won't get anywhere with it because theirs too much legislation with health & safety and out of date stuff. To be honest they are just covering their own backs. Years ago all sandwiches and snacks used to be given to the homeless and soup kitchens but their not allowed to do that anymore:( All you'll do is alert them even more to the facts that stuff is 1p and they'll end up stopping it altogether:( Their is a letter from T's floating about somewhere that states you can but 1p stuff, I'll see if I can find the link:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

i feel a joke coming on.....
A truck driver was driving along a country road when a sign comes up that reads "low bridge ahead." Before he knows it the bridge is right ahead of him and he gets stuck under the bridge.
Traffic and tractors get backed up for miles.
Finally, a police car comes up. The cop gets out of his car and walks around to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips and says, "Got stuck, did we?"
"No" the truck driver says, "I was delivering this bridge and ran out of petrol!!"

I've got a 50 p till spit yesterday for Andrex Eco. Does anyone know if this version is on the Andrex gifts list?
Have one here nothing on the pack about the free gifts.
Just realised I got it because I bought a 9 pack of gorgeous to use a KC3 and hopefully get an added £1 on my TPP if it ever arrives.
Still not a bad deal, 9 rolls for £1 and it also adds to the coupon pile plus it all adds to the £40 shop.
In our local paper this weekend we had a sealed card which we have to take into the local t store this week to see what prize we have won - I wonder if mind is going to be yet another £5 wys £40 voucher :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Just back from Sains myself and they had loads reduced - i got a thermos food flask 70% off - at £3.75 - im still awaiting a dispatch for my Bento box so am about to ring them and try adn cancel- - will have saved me a fortune ! Barcode ends 5047 hth0
