We will be passing an A's so will be rude not to pop in I will drive as I'm a control freak and can't be driven, I've not eaten today and I'm not in an eating mood, my mouth just can't be bothered with that chewing malarkey.[/QUOTE]
You're a very strange girl;)You love washing and you don't like eating:eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I don't particularly like washing but it has to be done, I know if I go out for food and I just want a side salad he will get a face on as I make him look "cheap" :mad:0 -

worry-wart wrote: »I can just about manage Walking Dead but OH loves blood & gore like Spartacus (I found it a bit to OTT and refuse to watch it) and horror stuff like American Horror Story. I got freaked out when I saw the gimp suit so didn't watch any more but I keep seeing ads for the new season. If it scary to watch or should I try again with season 2?
I've given AHS a miss so far. I had to have about a 4 wk break with WD last season as I was finding it to depressing and it made me feel really anxious before bed. I cheated and read the spoilers online before going back to watching it as at least I knew what was going to happen and didn't get too stressed!
I know its only a tv show but since having kids anything mildly scary/gory has me on edge. I always end up thinking what would we do if that happens in RL? At the very least it gives me a good reason to get more beans - just in case of a zombie apocalypse we can either eat the beans or throw the cans at the zombies :rotfl:0 -
I offered a few places and they didn't want used toys - I mean in mint condition ! Batteries working etc?
I had this problem last year, cancer charity shop on Botanic Ave, Belfast. I had a boot full of new and almost new stuff I knew I wouldn't need that i'd sorted out before the rest went into storage.
Went into the shop to ask if they'd take it but they said that they only took new stuff and if I wanted to sort through the bags for them they'd gladly take those only :eek:
I just left and said I'd try somewhere who would appreciate the donations. I ended up splitting it between Marie currie and a smaller cancer shop because one could take the clothes and a few of the bags of toys but not the whole lot and they recommended the other shop as they needed donations.
I decided then and there not to ever donate to the first shop, which I think was a shame but if the staff are like that the charity has a problem, I wrote to complain and was sent a letter of apology detailing that the shop manager had been contacted and would be in touch but never heard anything more about it.:(SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

worry-wart wrote: »I know I've been given slow cooker advice in the past but I now have a more specific query if someone can indulge me. I have finally perfected spag bol but I'm not sure how the recipe would translate to a slow cooker. The recipe is -
Add carrots, celery, onions & garlic and cook on a low heat so they don't colour
Once the veg has softened, add the meat, cook until sealed and strain off any fat
Add a spoonful of tomato puree and mix well
Add water & stock pot and cook down until the liquid has evaporated
Add pasatta & herbs and once boiling, let it simmer for an hour or so.
Can this be achieved in a slow cooker? Thanks.
my slow cooker skills only stretch as far as take all of the above, place in slow cooker and turn slow cooker on. Sorry(disclaimer: I'm a rubbish cook :rotfl:)

I have a suggestion. Your OH can take me out to dinner and I'll make him wish he was only paying for your side salad. While you're at a loose end you could do my washing for meIn_A_Pickle wrote: »I've given AHS a miss so far.
