On the plus side, I told her about the cheese glitch and she was very impressed:)

This is a horrible situation to deal with. I remember the guilt that my parents and I felt when the time came when my nan could no longer manage.
I don't know if appropriate for your mum but have you considered some kind of sheltered housing. She would then keep some sort of independence but have help on hand if she needed it. That along side some homecare.

morning peeps. hope all is well. this afternoon i am getting a mould made for my new "toes":j. i didnt sleep well last night as i kept wondering if i would be able to wear my fit flops with my new toes.:o i know that sounds really silly, but i love wearing them . son is having a skin p rick test in the same hospital but 2 floors up , 30 mins earlier. so i may have to abandon him :eek: and hope he will find me in the plaster room.

on a good note. his school is 21.3 miles away and very near a t's. so i may have to leave home a little earlier.:j:j

xmas is all brought and wrapped here. it was all brought in the boots 75% sales. and wrapped in september. the teachers have a jar brought from poundland and filled with roses from a big tin, wrapped in cellophane and tied with a ribbon.

the cat has a box of cat nip and biscuits. that is kept in the garage until xmas day, for obivios reasons

that is part of his directions to find me :rotfl:.the plaster room is next to the cafe. hopefully the nhs will be running on time, yes i know, but i can hope.
