Good morning all. Lovely new thread thanks COT.
Didn't bother finishing the old one as seemed a bit fraught last night.
Any hoo, new day, new start. Have a good one everyone.
Yep, I started trying to catch up last night then gave up lol!
Thanks for the new thread COT. :jtyroleandancer wrote: »Hi Flo you will probably be a while before you come across this post but wanted to say I also work backwards :rotfl::rotfl:
Anyone else do that?

I always read back to front, even with books & magazines. I dunno why? :rotfl:jaguar17uk wrote: »
Awww, that's lovely! :grinheart How very true! :A
I can't quote this (as the post is on the old thread), but I just wanted to say well done to MKS who posted that s/he found a gold ring in Sainsbobs yesterday and handed it in. That ring will probably have great sentimental value aswell as monetary value so well done for being so honest!
I know we all like a good womble and as I entered IKEA last night (through an exit door) I saw a folded IKEA receipt on floor. Naturally being a wombler I picked it up and inside the folded receipt was £45 in cash!!
I must admit my little heart fluttered for a second and I was really tempted to keep it.But then I read the receipt and saw that someone had just returned a £45 item to IKEA and I thought aww, if that was me I would be gutted!
So I did the right thing and took the cash & receipt to customer returns and handed it in. The IKEA lady looked really shocked and said she would hand it to Security if the person didn't come back to claim it.
I hope she is honest and doesn't just pocket it? I might drop the store manager a note asking what happens to the cash if no one claims it? I'd imagine they have procedures for things like this, but if no one claims it then I hope they donate it to a charity?
I know when I have returned items to IKEA they usually ask your name and address so I hope they can trace the owner?
Isn't it funny how cash can tempt & corrupt you though? Even though I did the right thing and handed it in, I still had those little waves of greediness wanting me to keep it lol!
Anyway, Happy Birthday Dizzy and have a good day all. :j
I'm staying in today. Still feeling a bit rough with the lurgy and I'm looking after a little old dog whose been a bit poorly so gonna have a quiet day, do some housework and then snuggle up."I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

Good for you mutely muppet. When my grandad was in hospital he got moved to a different bed which had someone else's belongings in and I found a wallet that had about £100 cash and all their bank cards. I handed that in to the nurse, I really hope the guy got it back. It would suck to be in hospital and have your money stolen.0
