Cheesybake and QoC - thanks for your comments re Blackpool we are in Liverpool for 2 days during half term and I hoped to pop over to Blackpool as the kids have never seen the illuminations and with everything this summer we haven't done much - so the information you have both posted has been helpful.

Can anyone help with the Sainsbury's will they/won't they have half price toy sale this year debate?
Its usually the Wednesday during half term and for a year or two its been in store only. Most comments on other threads have been no there will be no sale - but did see a post on here a couple of nights ago saying it will be 24th Oct (which is a Weds). Before the Big C I had managed to book travellodge rooms for half term (- kids are already moaning about being away for Halloween and missing trick or treating) so would have been in Liverpool/Bath - then I remembered Sainsbury toy sale! :eek:. Luckily our half term is later than some so if the post is true this means a toy sale shop whilst kids are still at school the week before Half term - great.:j Its only 6 days after last chemo but may manage it:o. Anyone out there able to confirm 24th?

This morning I get an indulgence - have to drive DD and DS2 in to respective schools, which means going early, and get to stop at T's !
