On the BBC news website Barclays have announced that they will no longer award bonuses for staff flogging loans etc. Apparently bonuses will now be offered to staff who undertake good customer service.
Is this a start of banks beginning to move away from 'hard selling' of products towards viewing customers as individuals with diverse needs?

I doubt it. Any change will be superficial and cosmetic as they wish to continue in their Free Market practices of Exploiting us every which way and detering any regulation of their heinous practices.
Note the New Labour Administrations of Brown and Blair and now Condem Cameron have been conspiciously lax on the Banks despite of them f****g up the Economy.
Take that and the Right Wing City dictating Economic Policy to the Country ie cut public services and increase socialism for the rich.
The UK is a Tax Haven for the rich and there is 1trn salted away in Offshore accounts.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Banking is long overdue an overhaul. Profit will made from somewhere. So cost of borrowing money and current account charges are logical places to start.0 -
Every bank has similar plattitudes about customer service, as do HMRC "A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
