Do you really need to get tins of chocolates and sweet biscuits?

I find these things a total waste of time and pointless eating! Like don't eat enough over Christmas/New Year.

I have noticed in my friends and family that the ones that put on the most weight over Christmas are the ones that had tins of nuts, biscuits and chocolates dotted about the house.

Have you thought people might be giving them as gifts etc?
We give ours as a thank you to our customers for our business and everyone is always very grateful.

I don't think a lecture about the evils of sweets and biscuits was in order really.

I am happy. But find the point of buying tins of chocolate digestives for Christmas a little pointless. I rather have a tin of something that I only eat at Christmas

    Sorry

I didn't mean it like that.

What I meant is supermarkets offer so many versions of tinned biscuits.

I saw Waitrose had their own brand biscuit tins on BOGOF so it was £5.99 for two. That was last weekend...no idea if the offer's still on.

I have read this thread four times, and can't see where anyone has mentioned chocolate digestives.

More to the point, I can't remember ever seeing a tin of chocolate digestives. If such a tin exists can someone point me in the right direction as I would love one.

A bit odd to be seemingly critical of those eating biscuits when your Avatar is a cookie monster:huh:

I like the Cookie Monster because the way his eyes move about.

Regarding cookies, I like a soft doughy cookie. Not Maryland crap.

No I have never seen a tin of chocolate digestives either, but I have a lovely musical biscuit barrel bought me by my DD, and think I will fill it up with a pack of these and treat myself.
