Christmas chocolate/biscuit tins???

With a number of offers at the moment in most supermarkets on christmas tins of Qstreet, Roses, chocs, biscuits, crackers etc.....Anyone have any thoughts on where might be offering the best deals?? Lots are £5 a tin, but I've heard whispers of better deals elsewhere. .....

  • I got mine last week for £4 at Tesco, but I think they have gone back to a fiver now...Still not bad though at a fiver.

Yeah we got a £4 tin of roses at tesco a couple of weeks ago - they're £5 today though.

    Xmas Saver!
Most of the supermarkets have Victoria Biscuits Tins half price at £6. But Aldi have them for £4.99 with no offer.

  • We have decided to just use last year's tin and fill it with biscuits we like which are on offer.
  • M&S will have offers on biscuits constantly until Christmas now, changing every few weeks. Personally I think it's worth paying the extra £1 or so per box to get the M&S biscuit selections as opposed to the branded ones in supermarkets.
  • Asda's christmas guide has biscuit tins at good prices - havent seen them in store yet x

Sainsbury's has Quality Street for £5 but the tin looks smaller to me. I bought a Jacob's savoury selection tin from Ocado 50% off at £4 offer ends 06/11 but I'm just going to buy chocolates and biscuits as I see them on offer. Got some McVitie's ginger nuts and digestives 2 for 1.30 at my mother's local independent grocers for example.
  • Nisa had some good offers on biscuit tins yesterday. I don't remember the prices as I was in a rush.

Do you really need to get tins of chocolates and sweet biscuits?

I find these things a total waste of time and pointless eating! Like don't eat enough over Christmas/New Year.

I have noticed in my friends and family that the ones that put on the most weight over Christmas are the ones that had tins of nuts, biscuits and chocolates dotted about the house.
