British gas £200 incentive

I listend to what Martin Lewis said, and a couple of week ago went on U Switch and chose the Scottish power fixed march 2014. Not a huge saving at the moment but over time, should save quite a bit of money as missed price increases.
Anyway to make me laugh, British Gas phoned me today, and don't want me to go so offered me £100 cedit on Gas straight away then another £100 credit in 3 month!!??
I thought this strange, so asked if they could afford to credit customers that much, why not just keep prices same and don't lose them in first place.
I also suggested that if they kept the prices I am paying now for 12month i would stay, but noooooooo, they can't do that.
so do they want to keep customers or not....make me laugh :rotfl:

Accept their kind offer, take the immediate £100 and still switch
  • Thats what I was thinking, but knowing my luck, once i got it, then go to switch again, the offer from Scottish power will have gone lol
  • What deal exactly was this Nitnat? I just called to see what they will offer me as a switch to FirstUtility on their fixed 2014 plan will save me in the order of £350 a year, and they have offered me £100 in 12 months if I am still with them.

    CC limits £26000

    Long term CC debt £0

Total low rate loan debt £3000

    Almost debt free feeling, priceless.

Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.
