Best weedkiller solution for large driveway?

Can anyone recommend the best solution for killing weeds on a large (3 car) gravel driveway?
The little spray bottles seem pretty useless and would take an age to use.

I'm under the impression just plain salt will help?

I also assume that there's no real point treating the drive when it's likely to rain, as it'll just wash away?

Thanks in advance :)

There's nothing much available, except Bayer's Path Weedkiller at around £13 - 15. That's because you are looking for a residual weedkiller, and most of those are for agro - grounds care use and Expensive with a capital E.

If you want a shock, Google 'Chikita Weed Killer,' (or for an even more hair-raising experience, forget the 'Weed Killer' bit. You couldn't make these names up!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

FWIW, I manage fine with glyphosate, but I don't look for perfection.

    Armillatox. Brilliant stuff IMO.

Can be bought on eBay and Amazon as well as some other DIY outlets. B&Q don't sell though.

Armillatox isn't licensed for this so it's illegal to use it as suggested.

I'd get yourself a 3L or 5L sprayer and buy a weedkiller in concentrated form, which will be far easier to apply and cheaper overall than the small ready mixed bottles.

Only because it is produced by a small company who can not afford the estimated £3M to put it through the review process.

Thanks guys. I bought a 3L bottle of some weed killer with a spray adapter at homebase, though my neighbour pointed out that rock salt should also work. As I had a bag of that sitting about too I've tried that first to see, then I'll weedkiller anything that's left :j
