Closed Vanquis account - still getting statements?

I had a Vanquis credit card which I wasn't really using much but it was useful for emergences, anyway, my other provider upped my limit so I decided to close the Vanquis.
Problem is they keep sending me statements even though I have had a letter confirming the account is closed? The balance on these statements is literally a few pence in credit (I make my payments via bank transfer so I guess somewhere along the line I've entered a wrong amount and overpaid by a fraction), and I'm wondering what I have to do/say to them to get them to stop sending these statements?!!
The account shows as settled on my credit files and they tell me it is closed, but I'm just concerned that as the statements keep coming the account is somehow still 'active' and could be used by fraudsters or something without my knowledge.
any suggestions?

If you have any balance (positive or negative) on your card then the account is NOT closed. It's as simple as that.
Call them again, ask them to send you a cheque for the balance/donate it to charity/write it off and then it will be closed. Only when the account shows at ZERO can it be closed.0
