use for stale crumpets

We have a bag of crumpets that hubby got out of the freezer and thennever ate. Can I do anything with them ? They look fine, just a bit dry and not too fresh. Seems like a shame to bin them.

Split them in half shove them in your toaster for about 20 seconds then get any fruit you have raspberrys, apple slices, tinned fruit or anything (not mince I mean sweeet stuff) place in a dish with fruit on top. Put sugar on top of that (one teaspoon ) really needs to be brown sugar but white will work at a push with a knob of butter on top. Then blather with cream or craime freche.
