We have a bag of crumpets that hubby got out of the freezer and thennever ate.
Can I do anything with them ? They look fine, just a bit dry and not too fresh. Seems like a shame to bin them.

Throw them at DH for being wasteful .....
Or chop them up and give them to the birds.0 -
try toasting them and then sampling them, we use crumpets that are getting past their best quite often and they are usually fine with butter on, dont know of any other use for them unless you feed them to the ducks!;)Do what you love :happyhear0

I would say either toast them or try them in the microwave for a few seconds. This usually freshens bread so it may work for crumpets. I hate to throw anything awayA friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.0

Could you make a crumpet & butter pudding ? (same as bread & butter but with crumpets)
You could put marmalade on the crumpets to add a twang before U make it.Sealed pot challenge 822

We make mini pizzas using crumpets, just toast lightly then pop some tomato sauce on and top with some grated cheese, herbs and maybe a slice of tomato. Should work fine with slightly stale crumpets. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

maybe if you sprinkle a few drops of water onto them and then warm them gently in the microwave they will freshen up again. I do this with slightly stale breads and it works just fine.
Although I like the thought of using them as missiles as well though..0 -
Crumpets are nice grilled, topped with some fruit chutney and grated cheese. The chutney and cheese are lovely melted together and you shouldn't notice that the crumpets are slightly past their best !0
